So frustrating! One session it'll work great and the next: total crap. My only suggestion is: Stay away from the integrated Voice/Video. If you're looking for a base experience that works great, free Roll20 is the way to go. While Roll20 is free to play, all the really cool stuff (dynamic lighting, API to automate stuff and make macros, transmogrifier, etc.) are behind a paywall. Which is also the top subscription amount for Roll20. Some people will remark on the price of FG, but you can do a subscription for about $10/month. I prefer Fantasy Grounds as all the work is done for me in regards to PHB, MM, DMG, Adventures, Sourcebooks, etc. As I said in the previous post, I played on Roll20 for about a couple of years and have owned Fantasy Grounds since December 8th, 2004.
